What is your GLP-1 Medication?
We offer a GLP-1 injection that is an anti-diabetic medication used for the treatment of type 2 diabetes and an anti-obesity medication used for long-term weight management. It targets the brain centers that regulate appetite, especially after eating. It also slows down how quickly the stomach empties, which makes the stomach feel fuller for longer.

What is Tirzepatide/B6
Tirzepatide is a new investigational drug that is being developed for the treatment of obesity and type 2 diabetes. It is a dual GLP-1 and glucagon receptor agonist, meaning that it works by stimulating both insulin secretion and reducing glucagon release, leading to improved glucose control.

What are the common side effects?
Nausea, Vomiting, Diarrhea, Constipation, Abdominal Pian, Headaches, Fatigue. Our injections contain B6 in them to negate these side effects. Vitamin B6 can help the body process certain amino acids, which helps reduce these GI symptoms.

What are long-term side effects?
The most common long-term effect is gastrointestinal disorder. Common side effects of the GLP-1 medications may be a result of an underlying disorder that is developing as a reaction to changes in blood sugar, an induced boost in insulin production, and rapid weight loss. Both these medications have boxed warnings for the risk of thyroid C-cell tumors. A boxed warning is the most serious warning from the FDA.

Why am I not losing weight on the medication?
BE PATIENT. Some people do not experience weight loss in the first 4-8 weeks. Everyone is different. Some people do not experience weight loss until they reach a higher dose of 1mg. or even 1.5mg.

How much does NV Wellness treatments cost?
Our consultation fee is $180. Our medication fee is separation. Medication fee starts at $375 a month for local patients and $500 for out of state patients.

Are our medications covered by insurance?
No. These medications are not covered by insurance for people who are not diabetic type 2. Fortunately, we can offer our compounded medication at a lower cost
